TOWN GUIDE

Facing Wakasa Bay, Obama is the starting point of the "Saba Kaido," an ancient highway used for transporting seafood to Kyoto.
The townscape of Obama, with its traditional townhouses and storehouses, still retains the bustling atmosphere of the old days. The town's rich natural environment, cuisine, festivals, and other aspects of culture are still alive today.
